Dr. Yahya Dabboussi
Chiropractor | Bonnyrigg, South West Sydney
Meet Your Chiropractor
Dr Yahya Dabboussi is the founder of Bonnyrigg Chiropractic & Sports Injury Clinic — and he is not your typical chiropractor.
After growing up in South West Sydney and developing a passion for sport and training during his school years, Yahya discovered chiropractic care firsthand as a teenager — when a heavy school bag and persistent back pain led his parents to take him to a chiropractor for the first time. What he experienced that day changed the direction of his life. He was fascinated by the idea that something entirely hands-on — no medication, no surgery, no passive treatment — could genuinely help a person out of pain. The science behind it hooked him immediately
From that point, chiropractic and sport became deeply intertwined for Yahya. A growing passion for gym training and an interest in how the human body functions, performs, and recovers led him to pursue a career that sat at the intersection of both worlds
He completed his Bachelor of Chiropractic Science and Master of Chiropractic at Macquarie University, graduating in 2014 — and went straight to work in the community he grew up in
Qualifications & Professional Background
Our Story
Bonnyrigg Chiropractic & Sports Injury Clinic opened in 2014 — not in a busy commercial strip, not in a corporate medical centre, but in Bonnyrigg. The suburb where Dr Yahya grew up, trained, and has always felt most at home.
The decision to stay in South West Sydney was deliberate. After briefly exploring practice in other parts of Sydney, it became clear that the demographics, the culture, and the community here were where he belonged. These are his people — and this is his community
From the beginning, there was a clear frustration driving the way the clinic was set up. Too many clinics in the area were operating on a model that felt — to put it plainly — dishonest. Patients were being placed into cookie-cutter care plans, sold packages of adjustments upfront, and shuffled through appointments without real individual consideration. The same number of visits. The same protocol. Regardless of who the patient was or what they actually needed.
Dr Yahya had seen this pattern too many times, and he had heard it from patients who came to him after experiencing it elsewhere. It wasn’t right. And it wasn’t something he was ever willing to replicate. So he built something different
The Honest Care Method —
Why We Do Things Differently
The Honest Care Method was not born from a marketing meeting. It was born from a genuine frustration with the way too many clinics treat people, rather, how they don’t
When a patient walks through the door, they deserve to be listened to. They deserve a thorough assessment. They deserve a treatment plan that’s built around their body, their history, and their goals — not around filling a weekly appointment quota or selling a block of sessions that may ormay not be what they actually need.
Thorough Assessment
Personalized Treatment
Honest, Adaptive Care
Recommendations You Can Trust
The reality of clinical practice is that you can’t always know upfront how many visits a patient will need. Bodies don’t follow scripts. Sometimes you need to adjust the approach. Sometimes things change. A plan made on day one may need to look very different by week four — and that’s not a failure, that’s honest, adaptive care
Dr Yahya’s approach is simple: assess properly, treat individually, explain everything clearly, and never recommend more than what is genuinely needed. If chiropractic isn’t the right answer for your presentation, you’ll be told — and referred appropriately
That’s The Honest Care Method. And it’s the reason patients across Fairfield, Liverpool, Cabramatta and South West Sydney keep coming back — and keep sending their families.
How We're Different
When a patient walks through the door, they deserve to be listened to. They deserve a thorough assessment. They deserve a treatment plan built around their body, their history, and their goals—not around filling appointment quotas or selling treatment packages they may not actually need.
We Don't Rush
Many chiropractic appointments last five to ten minutes. At Bonnyrigg Chiropractic, that's not how it works. Dr Yahya takes the time to understand what's actually going on — because the detail you share is usually where the real answer is hiding.
We use every tool available.
Most chiropractors have one or two treatment modalities. Dr Yahya uses chiropractic adjustments, dry needling, deep tissue massage, cupping and Hijama therapy, and structured rehabilitation — combined in the right proportion for each individual patient. Not every patient needs every tool. But every patient has access to all of them.
We look at the whole picture
Pain is rarely as simple as it seems. Dr Yahya's background in training, sport, and biomechanics means he looks at how you move, how you load your body, and what your daily life looks like — not just the area that hurts. Because treating the symptom without understanding the cause is how problems come bac
We're genuinely affordable.
The clinic operates from Dr Yahya's home — a decision made deliberately to keep overhead costs low and pass those savings directly to patients. Quality chiropractic care shouldn't be out of reach for the community this clinic was built to serve
We're open when others aren't
Monday to Thursday until 9:00 PM. Saturday until 3:00 PM. The extended hours weren't an accident — they were a direct response to the needs of a community full of people who work long hours, commute far, and can't always get to a clinic during a standard business day. Working from home gave Dr Yahya the flexibility to offer those hours — and it's made all the difference for a lot of patients.
The Clinic Experience
The Clinic
Bonnyrigg Chiropractic & Sports Injury Clinic is based from Dr Yahya’s home in Dangin Close, Bonnyrigg — a quiet cul-de-sac that offers something surprisingly rare for a healthcare clinic: easy parking, a calm environment, and a genuine sense of welcome from the moment you arrive.
Dr Yahya takes pride in the presentation and feel of the clinic — from the garden at the entrance to the treatment space itself. The goal has always been to create an experience that feels personal and comfortable, not clinical and rushed. When patients arrive, they’re not walking into a busy waiting room. They’re walking into somewhere that feels like it was set up specifically for them.
When the clinic first opened from home, there was some uncertainty about whether patients would feel comfortable coming to a residential setting. The feedback since has been unanimous — they prefer it. The calm, private environment is something many patients specifically mention. It’s part of what makes the experience here different from a commercial clinic.
Four Principles That Guide Every Appointment
When a patient walks through the door, they deserve to be listened to. They deserve a thorough assessment. They deserve a treatment plan built around their body, their history, and their goals—not around filling appointment quotas or selling treatment packages they may not actually need.
1. Find The Cause — Not Just The Symptom
Pain is a signal. Our job is to understand what it's signaling. Every appointment begins with a proper history and assessment — because treating a symptom without understanding its cause is how problems come back
2. Treat The Whole Person
You're not a diagnosis. You're a person with a job, a lifestyle, a training history, and goals. Every treatment plan is built with all of that in mind — because what works for one person may be completely wrong for another
3. Explain Everything
Understanding what's happening in your body is the first step toward lasting recovery. We explain your assessment findings, your treatment approach, and your home care in plain language — so you leave every appointment more informed than when you arrived.
4. Honesty Above All
If we think we can help you, we'll tell you exactly how and why. If we think you'd be better served by someone else — a GP, a specialist, another allied health practitioner — we'll tell you that too. We don't keep patients on treatment they don't need. And we never wil
Community
Part of the South West Sydney Community
Dr Yahya was born and raised in South West Sydney. He trains in the area. His friends and family are in the area. His patients are, in many cases, people he has known for years — or people referred by someone he has
This is not a clinic that parachuted into Bonnyrigg to capture a market. It is a clinic that grew from a genuine connection to this community and a genuine desire to serve it well.
That connection extends to the cultural diversity of South West Sydney. Dr Yahya is fluent in Arabic and conducts consultations in Arabic for patients who prefer it — a small thing that makes a meaningful difference for many members of this community who find it easier to communicate about their health in their first language.
He also understands the specific demands that life in South West Sydney places on the body. The long commutes. The physically demanding work. The active sporting culture. The gym culture. These aren’t abstract concepts — they’re the daily reality of the patients he sees every week
